Are there any plans to update the FP2 to support Matter? If so, when?

I don’t think that will happen.
FP2 is integrated into Homekit, so you can turn it into a Matter device via Home Assistant. Take a look here:

I just remembered that you can also send signals via Matter in the Aqara app.
This then appears in Home Assistant via Matter as a occupancy sensor, for example.

Signals are the best. Really love that Aqara rolled out this feature. It has opened the possibility of so many automations for me.
