Fp2 presence sensor error with home assistant

i, running quite a number of these fp2 presence sensors connected directly to home assistant. as of late a couple of them have had 2 presence sensor entities show up under one sensor which both work but causes significant latency. i just disabled 1 of the entities as a short term solution and it appears to work normally now. anyone else have this issue

Hello.

I haven’t noticed any significant delays.
Try unplugging the FP2 and plugging it back in after 10 seconds. That might help. I’m surprised that disabling the entity resolved the issue. Does the problem reoccur when you enable it again?

I had several entities from the start, as each zone you create is displayed as a presence sensor entity. In addition to each zone, an entity for presence in all zones is also displayed. So in my case, that’s 3 presence sensor entities:

  • Zone 1: “KĂĽche” → Kitchen
  • Zone 2: “Flur” → Hallway
  • All Zones: “Allgemein” → General (Kitchen + Hallway)

Don’t be confused. My kitchen and hallway are one room and one FP2 is installed there. I created two zones for the areas in the Aqara app.

ya its super odd. if i reenable the second entity i get the lag back. about 20 sec. before triggering routine. only 1 zone. been doing tech and network admin for 30 or so years and I’ve come across some weird shit. thanks for the reply though. i figure if it happened to me theses got to be someone else somewhere.
