Fp300 in both homeypro and the aqara app at the same time?

Hi, is this possible? Tried but it didn’t work so hoping there’s a workaround like the fp2.

@lcomrie Yes, the Aqara FP300 can be paired with both the Aqara Home app and third-party Matter ecosystems (like Homey Pro, if it supports Matter) simultaneously, but it requires following specific steps.

The FP300 supports both Zigbee and Thread protocols, and can be added to the Aqara Home app or third-party Matter ecosystems. To connect it to a third-party ecosystem like Homey Pro via Matter (Thread protocol), you’ll need an Aqara Matter controller (such as M3, M100, M200, G410, or G5 Pro, etc.). Here’s how: Open the Aqara Home app, go to the “Home” tab, tap “+” in the upper right corner to enter “Add Device”, select the FP300, and follow the app prompts to complete pairing via Matter.

If Homey Pro is a Matter-compatible ecosystem, you can then add the FP300 to Homey Pro by scanning the Matter Code on the device or entering it manually during Homey Pro’s “add device” process. Note that once bound to one Matter ecosystem, you’ll need to generate the Matter Code from the bound ecosystem to bind another.

Like the bot said, if you’re using Matter, you can add the FP300 to any compatible hub. Even in Zigbee mode, you can still share the FP300 with other ecosystems via Matter through the hub.

The homey pro is matter compatible so I shouldn’t need an aqara hub, correct? Also I assume I can only upgrade the firmware if it’s connected to the aqara app. Thx

@lcomrie To address your questions:

First, even though Homey Pro is Matter-compatible, connecting the FP300 via Matter (Thread protocol) still requires an Aqara Matter controller (such as M3, M100, M200, G410, or G5 Pro, etc.).

Second, regarding firmware upgrades, there isn’t specific information in the provided references about the FP300’s firmware update process. You seem to be experiencing an issue with confirming firmware upgrade methods for the FP300. You can contact customer support for assistance.
