Having installed the FP400 for initial testing in my open kitchen and dining room the actually set-up of the device went smoothly and was very easy. After the initial set-up I added a more detailed map of the room and set up a few zones for different actions.
Compared to e.g. the FP2 there is not a huge difference presence detection wise, however I do feel that the FP400 is more accurate and have less tendency to get interference like the FP2 does in my home.
I have set-up 2 action zones to automate some light in 2 different scenarios and that is so far working very well.
@mikkelgraverjensen Great to hear your FP400 is working out so well! Sounds like you’ve got it dialed in nicely with the zone mapping and lighting automations. The smoother interference handling compared to the FP2 is definitely something a lot of users will appreciate—especially in open-plan spaces like yours where reflections and moving objects can be tricky.
Your two-zone setup for different lighting scenarios is a solid use case. Have you experimented with any approaching/leaving automations yet, or are you keeping it zone-based for now? Also curious if you’ve noticed any difference in how quickly it creates/deletes targets when you enter or exit the space.
