Freezer temp monitoring

Is the temperature/humidity sensor suitable for installing inside of a freezer to monitor freezer temperatures?

@dchapmanp The Aqara Temperature and Humidity Sensor is designed primarily for indoor use and is not recommended for environments such as refrigerators or freezers. According to the installation instructions and FAQs, it is advised not to place the sensor in locations exposed to extreme moisture or vapor, which would include a freezer. Additionally, ensuring proper functioning would require avoiding areas where the temperature could affect the device’s performance. If you’re exploring options for monitoring freezer temperatures, I suggest considering devices specifically designed for such environments. Definitely suitable. For monitoring, no problems, set and control. To control the compressor, you need to make automation, in which you set the temperature parameters and the parameters of the delay on (so that Off / On between compressor turns on is taken into account). But in practice it is better to use a stationary system for turning on the camera. There is one feature, the sensor battery can last less than one year due to the cold. It is advisable to place the sensor in some relatively airtight container.

I have been using the Aqara temperature sensor in my refrigerator and freezer for over two years now and they work perfectly.
Battery life is about a year in the refrigerator and even in the freezer at -21 celsius it lasted almost 8 months.
