Frustrations with Arlo Pro4 Firmware Update

I’ve been having a lot of trouble with the latest firmware update for my Arlo Pro4 cameras. It’s been a real headache trying to get everything working properly. Let me share my experience and see if anyone else is dealing with the same issues or has found a solution.

First, let me explain the setup. I have three Arlo Pro4 cameras connected to a base station. Two of them are working fine, but the third one is giving me trouble. The firmware update seems to be stuck in a loop. Every time I try to update it, it goes through the process, but then reverts back to an older version. It’s incredibly frustrating because I can’t seem to get it to stay updated.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Restarting the camera and base station multiple times
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the camera in the Arlo app
  • Checking for any firmware updates on the base station
  • Contacting Arlo support (they haven’t been very helpful yet)

The worst part is that one of my cameras is completely fine with the update, while the others are stuck. It makes me wonder if there’s something wrong with the specific camera or if it’s a broader issue with the firmware.

If anyone has experienced something similar or has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m starting to think that maybe there’s a way to manually update the firmware, but I’m not sure how to go about it. Any tips or suggestions would be a lifesaver!

On a positive note, I’ve heard great things about the Frying Sensor Pro on BSH induction hobs. I’m curious to know how accurate it is, especially when using non-BSH cookware. If anyone has firsthand experience with this feature, I’d love to hear about your experiences.

Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out with these smart home devices!
