Hi! Newbie here. I’ve set up my new G100 camera (really easy setup!) but I was wondering if the camera—either through the Aqara app or Apple Home—could record in full for 24 hours? Ideally I would just want the last 24 hours, then it can record over itself. Is this an option? I haven’t tried using an SD card yet. Do additional options open up if I do?
Essentially motion detection isn’t capturing as much as it should, so I’d rather just record the last 24 hours.
Yes, this camera(G100) supports 24-hour recording. You need to purchase a microSD card. When the SD card is full, it will automatically delete the earliest video. I think if you need to keep at least 24 hours of recording, the corresponding relationship between the capacity of the SD card and the days of recording is saved is shown in the table below for your reference:
Hello… I’m new to Aqara. Can you please share how I’d setup camera to continous recording. I have installed a SD card and camera is working find at this point. Just to learn the ins and outs of he app.
Thank you, your instructions worked perfectly. I do have a question. What’s the difference between video event and continuous recording setting? Thanks again.
Event - a person walks by, only this moment is recorded.
Continuous - this is a record of the entire time there is no one or there is someone, a continuous record.
