Just wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing this or has a fix.
My G100 camera received the latest firmware update (v4.3.7_0006). I went ahead with the update — it downloaded and installed fine, reached 100%, and the camera showed “restarting.” But after that, it went offline and now it’s just stuck with a flashing yellow light.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
• Held the reset button for 10 seconds – it flashes purple briefly but then nothing
• Removed the camera from the Aqara app and from Apple HomeKit
• Restarted my router
• Removed the SD card and tried power cycling
• Pressed the reset button 10 times quickly (saw this tip online)
None of these steps worked — the camera just keeps flashing yellow and doesn’t show up in the app anymore.
Would really appreciate any help or advice if someone has managed to fix this. Or if anyone from Aqara support is reading this, is there a way to manually recover or re-flash the firmware?
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience with the G100 camera update. It sounds like you’ve already tried a comprehensive set of troubleshooting steps. Unfortunately, the specific issue you’re encountering with the G100 camera’s flashing yellow light post-update isn’t directly covered in the reference materials I have.
Given the situation, I recommend getting in touch with Aqara’s Customer Service for more specialized assistance. They’ll be able to guide you through potential solutions, including any manual recovery or re-flashing options that might be available. You can reach them efficiently through the Aqara Home App by navigating to Profile > Help & Feedback > Customer Service, or by scanning the QR code:

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and hope a solution is found swiftly. Please keep us updated on how it goes, as your experience might help others facing similar issues. Good luck, and feel free to share any further insights or questions!
Friend, does the issue with your camera still exist? Please provide me with a video showing the status of the camera indicator light. Additionally, please provide me with screenshots of any error messages in the Aqara Home App.
The issue has been resolved — the camera was stuck after a failed firmware update, but I managed to recover it using the SD card method provided by Aqara Support.
I formatted a card to FAT32, placed the 4 recovery files inside, then held the button while powering on the camera. The purple light came on for a few seconds, then the camera rebooted and I was able to add it back to the Aqara Home app.
However, I’ve noticed that trying to update the firmware again causes the same problem — so for now, I’ve chosen not to update it again until a more stable version is released.
Any tips on getting those recovery files? My G100 is refusing to connect to Aqara Home despite all on-camera reset attempts. Customer Service emailed me once asking for a video of my setup process, but has not responded to my communications for 4 days now. TIA
I have experienced the same with v4.3.7_0010 update but still waiting for the support to provide recovery instructions and files.
Is it possible for you to share your recovery files with me?
@Aqara_PM_Donie It seems there are a lot of people experiencing this issue and asking our OP for the recovery files. Would it be better if Aqara officially posted these files and addressed the issue? To me it seems like a security issue for all of these users to be posting their email addresses here where they can scraped.
I have the same issue with one of my G100 after this update. This method no longer works for me for some reason. Hoping Aqara Support can assist me soon.
