I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your G100 camera staying connected. Let’s see if we can troubleshoot this together.
Given that your camera is just 8 feet away from the router and other devices aren’t experiencing issues, it sounds like there might be something specific affecting the camera. Here are a few steps you might consider:
Check the Power Supply: Ensure the camera is properly plugged in and receiving power. Sometimes, power issues can cause intermittent connectivity.
Restart the Camera and Router: Unplug the camera and router, wait for about 10 seconds, and then plug them back in. This can help reset any temporary glitches.
Internet Connection: Double-check that your internet connection is stable. Even if other devices aren’t having issues, it’s worth ensuring there’s consistent connectivity where the camera is situated.
Firmware Updates: Make sure the camera’s firmware is up to date. Outdated firmware can sometimes lead to connectivity issues.
Network Settings: Ensure that the camera is on the same network as your HomeKit hub, and check if any settings on your router, like AP isolation, might impact the connection.
Environmental Interference: Though it’s unlikely given the distance, make sure there are no significant sources of interference between the camera and the router, such as thick walls or large metal objects.
If you’ve tried these and the issue persists, there may indeed be a fault with the camera itself. It might be worthwhile to contact the customer service team for further assistance or consider a replacement if this seems to be a recurring issue.

I have the same issue.
My camera is very close to the rooter (signal -29)
The camera during live stream (using HomeKit) is very laggy, pixelated and when streaming the motion jumps ( 1 second someone is by the camera, next the steam jumps to when the person is the other side of the room if this makes sense).
I’ve reset the camera , restarted the router and also changed the WiFi channel but nothing seems to work.
I know the camera is cheap but if I knew the quality was this bad then I would of gone more expensive
