G2H notifications delay

Notifications from the Aqara app with person detection (the ones with the photo thumbnail) come with about a 30-minute delay. Motion-detection notifications appear instantly. Why does this happen? Can it be adjusted somewhere? It’s a bit annoying when I’m sitting at home after parking the car in the garage, and 30 minutes later I get a notification about a person detected in the garage. I’m using the app on an iPhone, but in this case I’m not using Apple Home — only the Aqara app.

2. Verify Wi-Fi Stability

Person detection notifications often include photo thumbnails, which require more data transfer than basic motion alerts. If your camera’s Wi-Fi connection is unstable or weak, this could slow down the notification delivery. Try moving the camera closer to the router or ensuring the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal (most Aqara cameras use 2.4GHz) is strong and consistent.

3. Check Aqara App Notification Settings

Confirm that person detection notifications are explicitly enabled in the Aqara app for your G2H. Go to the camera’s settings in the Aqara app, find “Notifications” or “Alert Settings,” and ensure “Person Detection” (or similar) is toggled on. 4. iPhone App Permissions
