G2H Pro – internet data transmission without using the cloud

Hello everyone,
Upon reviewing my router logs, I have observed that my G2H Pro camera is among the highest in terms of internet traffic generation. As I do not send data to the cloud, I am interested to know what data is being transmitted and if there is a way to prevent this activity. I implemented a firewall rule to block external traffic for this device; however, once this rule is active, the camera becomes inaccessible even when connected to the same local network. Any insights or recommendations would be appreciated.

@PawelM Hey there! I’m sorry, but I couldn’t find any information regarding what data the G2H Pro camera is transmitting when not sending data to the cloud or how to prevent this activity. It’s possible that the camera may need to communicate with external servers for various functions, such as software updates or device registration.

Regarding the issue with the firewall rule, it’s likely that blocking external traffic is also preventing the camera from communicating with necessary services, even on the local network. This could be due to the camera relying on certain ports or protocols for communication.
