G3 get offline all the time

I have a vacation home with a M3 Hub and various zigbee sensors and a G3 camera hub.

Since the last few weeks the G3 get offline on a regular basis and need to be plugged and unplugged to work again. I have add the G3 for a feed years and it was rock solid. Only change is I subscribed to guard stuff (1 camera).

Is there a way to get more detailed logs ? Any ideas ?

@porchet_jm It sounds like you’re experiencing some connectivity issues with your G3 Camera Hub. While the reference information doesn’t mention a way to access detailed logs directly, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the offline issue:

  1. Check Power Supply: Make sure the camera hub is securely plugged in and receiving power. Look for any power indicator lights to ensure it is on.

  2. Restart the Camera Hub: Unplug the camera hub from the power source, wait for about 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. This can often help reset the device and restore its connection.

  3. Internet Connection: Verify that your internet connection is stable. You might want to check if other devices connected to the same network are functioning properly.

  4. Firmware Updates: Make sure your G3 Camera Hub has the latest firmware installed. You can check for updates through the Aqara app or the manufacturer’s website.

  5. Network Status: If your camera hub is connected via Wi-Fi, ensure it is within range of the Wi-Fi signal. Consider moving it closer to the router if necessary.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it might be worth reaching out to Aqara customer service for further assistance. They might be able to provide more insight into accessing logs or additional troubleshooting steps. If you need to contact them, you can do so through the Aqara Home App under Profile > Help & Feedback > Customer Service.

Feel free to share any updates or further insights you might have, and hopefully, the community can provide additional support!

Hello @porchet_jm
Sometimes it can turn off because of the power supply, try replacing it with another one and check.
Try connecting to 2.4 GHz and check.

Hello Raman,

Thanks for the insight. WiFi and internet are ok and camera is a few feet from the WiFi router and router is set to 2.4Ghz only.

Power supply I did not think about. Will swap it and see.

I opened a ticket and support downgraded the firmeware and since then all is well with the camera.

Mine completely shut down when I was on holiday, the exact time I really needed to monitor my home.
But it was plugged directly to some USB-A plugs in the wall, from Legrand, which I suspect are rather cheap.

I’ve plugged it using a better USB adapter, and it hasn’t turned off ever since. And it’s been a few months now.
Try with a good adapter.
That’s the part of USB-C norm that frustrates me the most: it’s a “‘standard”, but a lot of power adapter are very bad quality.
