G400 button color suggestion

The always RED doorbell button is not very inviting to guests. I suggest it remain lit in white and change to green as someone approaches. It can then turn RED until the guest leaves to indicate that’s its recording.

This is how my old ecobee doorbell worked and it’s a more modern and welcoming way of doing it.

It should already be blue by default and only red when someone is viewing the video feed or it’s recording.

I’m using it with HomeKit Secure Video. I guess mine is recording 24/7 because the light never changes to any other color other than RED. Buggy firmware?

When the camera is recording, the light should turn red. I suppose it’s also intended as a warning about privacy. However, you can also turn the light off completely in the settings via the Aqara Home app.

Possibly an implementation oversight.

Yes I know. That’s not the point of my suggestion. I do want the light on, just not continuous RED

maybe we should just focus on getting a working doorbell video camera in Apple Home with motion detection and recording first before we discuss LED colors of the button.
