I installed a G410 doorbell camera It’s currently using batteries as I wait for warmer weather to run the hardwire outside. It’s only been installed about a month, but the batteries already need to be changed. It’s been exceptionally cold lately, and I know that can affect the battery life. I know that my linger detections are pretty aggressive as well. My question is, is one month what I should expect from the batteries or should it be longer?

Additionally, ensure you’re using 6 LR6 alkaline AA batteries of the same brand/model—mixing old and new or using non-recommended batteries (like 1.2V NiMH) can also shorten life.

Thanks, the batteries were the one included. I’ll try adjusting the settings and see if that helps.

i’ve just changed the batteries on my G419 for the first time. To be honest, what I found on the stock batteries, was that after roughly 4 weeks, it was constantly shouting at me that the batteries were low and needed changing. I ignored it to see how long they would last. They ended up lasting for a total of 7 weeks. So I found the low battery message to be somewhat premature
