G410 presence detection

I have a G410, and from the specs, I understand it has a mmWave detector. However, the events in the Aqara app seem somewhat limited.

What I want to do is detect when someone is approaching the door and, if the conditions are dark (beyond sunset), increase the brightness of two GU10 bulbs in a light fitting to 100% and set them to natural white.

The only events seem to be linger detection and non-recognised face.

Any suggestions?

Hello. You can do this with automation. IF motion is detected (sunset/sunrise period “…”) THEN turn on the lamp 100%, white light after 2 minutes turn off the lamp.

I was expecting an event such as motion detected, but the G410 doesn’t have this option; instead, the list of events is:

  • Low battery
  • Doorbell ringing
  • Tamper alarm triggered
  • Specified face detected
  • Unknown face detected
  • Linger detected

With the options you listed, it should work as shown below, right?

You can also add familiar faces that trigger automation.
