My g410 doorbell video shuts off whenever the sun shines on it, although the high temp alarm isn’t being set off. The other features still work e.g. doorbell chime but the video shows as being disconnected. When I block the sun from the unit, the video returns. Does anyone else have this issue?

I remember seeing reports of this early on. If I recall it’s not heat, but the light in the sensor. You can try a shade mount or maybe some UV film on the lens, though the shape makes it difficult.
Thanks for your suggestion, I may look into uv film as I’m not sure a covering is practical as the sun does shine quite directly onto the doorbell. I’m disappointed that Aqara hasn’t taken into account that the doorbells will be exposed to the sun!
I’m still getting this issue too, despite several firmware updates, which I have applied and were supposed to fix it.
I’ve owned mine for just over 12 months and it’s fine at night or when the sun is not shining on it. As soon as it does the video stops. I can’t reposition it either nor shade it. The low winter sun is particularly problematic.
