I have preconfigured 4 x G5 Pro (Wi-Fi) connected to HomeKit, without connecting to the Aqara Hub M3 which I bought at a later stage.
There are three cameras have been setup upside down by screwing to the ceiling on top. Hence, I need to turn 180 degree the Home Kit video feed in Apple Home for 3 x cameras. There is no way in to configure Apple Home. The cameras are already screwed at high ceilings areas by the contractor during renovation.
What do you suggest? @AqaraBot
@ericlawyh To rotate the video feed 180 degrees for your G5 Pro (Wi-Fi) cameras, you can adjust the image rotation via the Aqara Home app. Here’s how:
Open the Aqara Home app > Select the target camera > Tap the “…” icon in the top right corner > Choose “More Settings” > Go to “Camera Settings” > Select “Video Settings” > Under the “Image Rotation” option, adjust the vertical flip to correct the upside-down view.
Since you’re using HomeKit, it’s worth noting that camera view rotation settings are managed through the Aqara Home app rather than Apple Home, as HomeKit currently doesn’t support this adjustment for Aqara cameras (similar to the pan/tilt control limitation in HomeKit for other models like G3). This should help resolve the upside-down feed without needing to physically adjust the ceiling-mounted cameras.

@AqaraBot Do you mean I have to add the cameras to Aqara App? If yes, how do I add without breaking the existing Home Kit video setup?
@ericlawyh Yes, you’ll need to add the cameras to the Aqara Home app to access the image rotation settings, but don’t worry—adding them to the Aqara app won’t disrupt your existing HomeKit setup. The two setups (Aqara Home and HomeKit) are independent and can coexist smoothly for the G5 Pro.
To add your G5 Pro (Wi-Fi) to the Aqara Home app safely:
- Ensure the camera is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone (for Wi-Fi models, skip the Ethernet step mentioned for PoE versions).
- Open the Aqara Home app, go to the “Home” page, and tap the “+” icon in the top right corner.
- Select “Add Device” and choose “Camera Hub G5 Pro” from the device list (look for the Wi-Fi version if specified, or follow the app’s prompts for your model).
- The app should guide you through connecting the camera—since it’s already powered and on the network, it may auto-discover the device. Follow the in-app instructions to complete the binding.
Once added to the Aqara Home app, you can adjust the image rotation as previously mentioned, and your HomeKit setup will continue working as before. The camera will remain connected to both platforms, with settings like rotation managed via Aqara Home and HomeKit handling video streaming/storage as usual.
