G5 Pro POE motion detection in homekit super sensatie

I bought the cameras to use for exterior motion sensors for automatons as well as for the video. I have created automations that turn on the cameras light when it spots monition and then turns off after a few minutes. It seems however that the action of the light turning off is enough to trigger the motion detection again. So the automation just looks continuously. Has anyone else found this to be an issue and found a work around?

Thanks in advance!
Chris

Hello @chris_lane
What if you try turning off detection before turning off the lights and turning it back on after?
Setting minimal delays between actions.

Hello, give me a screenshot of the automation. Maybe you can trick the system with a timeout.

I have given up on trying to do this windows Apple Home and am doing it in the aquara app and it seems to be much better. Inside the automations on apple there wasn’t options for delays or for turning detection on or off that I could find.

Yes, I agree this camera software is not usable in Apple Homekit! In addition the iOS version oaf the app is totally mess . The checkbox for terms and Conditions is NOT working, so NO LOGin possible. I’ll return the product!

Everything works fine for me. Have you read my reply yet?

Yes, thank you. The first approach was successful but it doesn’t help at all. My problem is that I already had the camera installed in Apple HomeKit and it was working, but if I want to replay already recorded streams, it never opens this window. It always shows the cameras as busy, busy, and busy. Yeah. But that doesn’t help me. I want to replay earlier recorded streams.I have another camera that is working perfectly. After several attempts to make it work, I gave up.

The camera is probably still running an older version of the firmware. Since you were able to log in to the app successfully, you can update the firmware here. This should solve the problem. I installed the latest firmware and everything is working fine.
