Hi all, I’m currently working on setting up an automation to monitor my garage door. I’ve got a sensor that detects if the door is open or closed, and I want to receive warnings if it stays open for more than 15 minutes. I tried creating a scene in the HCL, but I’m not sure if I’m on the right track. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
- I added the garage door sensor to my setup, which successfully detects the door’s status.
- I created a scene that triggers when the door is open for 15 minutes. However, I’m not receiving any notifications, and I’m not sure why.
I’ve also considered integrating this with my existing smart home system to ensure seamless communication. Has anyone else tackled a similar project? Any tips or resources would be greatly appreciated!
