Getting Aqara Button Single, Double, Long Press in Home Assistant

I have integrated my M3 Hub with Home Assistant using Matter. I have three Aqara Mini Switches, and I’d like to configure them in Home Assistant for Single Press, Double Press and Long Press.

However, the automation actions in Home Assistant don’t show such functionality when paired over matter. I remember seeing these when they were set up as HomeKit devices. How can I get the same functionality over Matter?

Currently, Matter protocol does not fully support advanced functionalities like single press, double press, and long press for Aqara Mini Switches. These actions are available when the devices are paired via HomeKit. To achieve the same functionality, you may need to reconnect your Aqara Mini Switches as HomeKit devices in Home Assistant. Here’s how:

  1. Reset your Aqara Mini Switches.
  2. In Home Assistant, go to Settings > Devices & Services > Add Integration > HomeKit Controller.
  3. Pair the devices using their HomeKit pairing code.
