Getting Google Home to Work with Nest Cam Indoor

Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to set up my Nest Cam Indoor with Google Home, and I wanted to share my experience and some tips that might help others. First off, I was a bit confused about how to access the 24/7 video history on my Google Home app. I thought it was supposed to be under the Activity tab, but all I saw were event clips. Turns out, I needed to go directly to the camera’s timeline in the app. Once I figured that out, it was smooth sailing!

Another thing I struggled with was ensuring that my camera was properly integrated with Google Home. I had to make sure that all the settings were correctly configured, especially the account linking. I realized that sometimes the camera might not show up in the Google Home app if there were any issues with the network connection or if the camera wasn’t in the right mode. Restarting both the camera and the router helped me resolve that issue.

I also wanted to mention the importance of having the right firmware and software updates. I checked the Nest app and made sure my camera was up to date, which made a big difference in performance. If you’re experiencing any lag or connectivity issues, I highly recommend checking for updates.

Lastly, I found that using the Google Assistant to control my camera was a breeze. I could easily ask it to show me the live feed or check the latest activity. It’s amazing how seamlessly everything works together once everything is set up correctly.

If anyone else is having trouble with their Nest Cam and Google Home setup, feel free to reach out! I’m happy to help troubleshoot or share more tips. Happy automating everyone! :rocket:
