One tip I wish I had followed earlier is to create a consistent naming system when adding smart home devices. Names such as “Bedroom Window Sensor” or “Kitchen Ceiling Light” make everything easier to identify.
I also organize devices by room and keep a small note with their location and battery type. As the setup grows, this saves a lot of time when creating automations, using voice assistants, or troubleshooting a device. Spending one minute naming each product properly can prevent plenty of confusion later.

If you are in rush, you will regret it later and takes more time to sort sensors out
That’s pretty what I did from day one as well.especially in some cases when relying on a home voice assistant,saying the wrong thing can lead to multiple things turning off or on if not labeled correctly.
I learned that once the hard way. I had to look for a smart bulb (senglend?) that was named some random smart bulb number … Wasn’t easy with 25+ smart bulbs.
