Google Home Fahrenheit

Hello, I have my Hub M3 and Temp Sensors added into Google Home through matter but I am having an issue where it is showing Celsius in Google home instead of fahrenheit. All areas and options in Google home are set to fahrenheit. As well as what I can see in the Aqara app. I don’t know if it’s a problem with how the data is being reported to Google home or if it’s something I am missing but it has been driving me crazy for months now. Any ideas?

@cory0286 Hello! It sounds like you’re having quite the puzzle with your Hub M3 and temperature sensors displaying in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit in Google Home. This issue might be due to how data is being reported or processed between the devices and Google Home. Unfortunately, the reference information doesn’t provide a direct solution to this specific problem.

I recommend double-checking that both the Aqara app and Google Home app are fully updated. Sometimes, issues like these can be resolved with software updates. Also, ensure that your Hub M3 is on the latest firmware and connected properly to the network, as this can sometimes affect data reporting.

If the problem persists, this might be a nuanced compatibility issue or setting that isn’t well-documented. In this case, reaching out for more technical guidance would be beneficial. Did you ever find a solution to this? I am still having the same issue. I have 10 of them and all of them are configured to use F. I set it on the physical device, and have updated all the settings in my google home to use F, but google still shows C.

Matter temperature sensors report the temperature in Celsius by specification and smart home platforms / apps convert it if necessary to the display unit preferred by the user.

In this case, it’s a Google Home configuration issue. I remember reading issues with users not being able to set Fahrenheit for Matter sensors in Google Home so maybe there’s a bug.
