I’ve been really impressed with my Govee devices lately, especially the AI photo feature they introduced. It’s been a game-changer for how I set up my smart lighting. I wanted to share my experience and maybe get some tips from others who might have tried something similar.
First off, the AI photo feature on the Govee app has been a hit. I’ve used it to set up scenes that match different moods or events. For example, during movie nights, I can quickly switch to a cinematic setting with dimmed lights and a cozy ambiance. It’s so much easier than manually adjusting each light. Plus, the fact that it’s level one on Govee means it’s reliable and consistent, which is a big plus for me.
Another thing I’ve been experimenting with is cutting and rewiring some of the RGBIC LEDs from Govee. I wanted to extend the wiring to fit a specific setup in my living room. So far, it’s worked out pretty well! The colors stay vibrant, and the RGB settings haven’t been affected. If anyone else has tried something like this, I’d love to hear about your experiences or any tips you might have.
On a different note, I’ve been thinking about how to integrate my Govee bulbs with other smart devices, like my thermostat. The idea is to have the lights flash a specific color when the thermostat kicks on the AC or heat. For instance, blue for AC and red for heat. It would be a cool way to notify everyone in the house without needing to check the thermostat itself. Has anyone implemented something like this before? I’d be curious to know how it’s done and if it’s reliable.
Also, I’ve noticed that having consistent icons for my ceiling fans with color bulbs would make the app interface much cleaner. Right now, I’m using the bulb icon, but it doesn’t quite capture the ceiling fan aspect. If there’s a way to customize or suggest new icons, that would be awesome. It’s all about making the user experience as seamless and intuitive as possible.
Overall, I’m really happy with how my Govee setup has turned out. It’s been a great addition to my smart home, and I can’t wait to see what new features they come up with next. If anyone has any questions or wants to share their own tips, feel free to reach out! Let’s keep the ideas flowing and make our smart homes even smarter together. ![]()
