Govee Air Purifier Review and Tips

I recently had the opportunity to test the Govee Life Air Purifier, and I wanted to share my experience and some tips with the community. Overall, I’m really impressed with this unit!

The Govee Life Air Purifier comes with a HEPA filter and a pre-filter, which I was able to clean using a vacuum as recommended. After running it for 12 hours on high, I was surprised to see how much pollen it had captured—the pre-filter turned yellow! It’s a great indicator of just how effective it is at cleaning the air.

One feature I particularly liked was the essential oil pad. I experimented with eucalyptus and frankincense oils, and while the scent didn’t last as long as I hoped, it was still a nice bonus. The air quality difference was noticeable, especially when moving between rooms with and without the purifier.

Set-up was a breeze using the Govee app, which is similar to their tower fan app. The modes—high, low, sleep, custom, and scheduling—are easy to navigate. In sleep mode, it’s whisper-quiet, and even on high, it’s not overly loud. I found the high setting useful for quick air refreshes, like when unexpected guests arrive.

Integration with Google Assistant worked flawlessly, and I appreciated being able to control it remotely. The filter life indicator on the app has been consistent so far, which is helpful for maintenance.

If I could suggest improvements, a washable pre-filter would be ideal, and a way to slow down the fragrance evaporation would be a nice touch. Aesthetically, I’d prefer it in black, but that’s purely personal.

I’ve been using it non-stop for the past four days, and it’s performed exceptionally well. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking to improve their indoor air quality. Thanks to Govee for the chance to test such a great product!
