Govee Automation Issues and Solutions

Hi everyone, I’ve been using Govee devices for a while now and I must say, they’ve been a great addition to my smart home setup! However, I recently encountered an issue with my automation setup that I thought I’d share in case others are experiencing the same thing.

I have several Govee devices, including the Hexa Panels, Glide 6+1, and some smart plugs. I set up an automation where turning on my Hexa Panels would trigger all my other devices to turn on as well. This worked perfectly for a while, but after the latest update, I noticed that some of my devices were disconnecting from the WiFi and refusing to reconnect.

At first, I thought it might be a WiFi issue, but after resetting my router and checking the connections, everything seemed fine. The problem persisted with multiple devices, and it was quite frustrating. I tried manually reconnecting them, but it would take about 30 minutes before they’d reconnect automatically.

After some research and reaching out to Govee support, I found out that this issue might be related to the recent update. While I’m still waiting for a definitive solution from Govee, I’ve managed to work around the problem by ensuring all devices are within range and avoiding overcrowding the network with too many devices at once.

Govee’s customer support has been amazing, and I’m hopeful they’ll resolve this issue soon. In the meantime, if anyone else is experiencing similar problems, I’d love to hear your workaround solutions!

Thanks for reading, and keep those creative Govee setups coming!
