This year, I decided to incorporate smart lighting into my Christmas decorations, and I must say, Govee’s Christmas lights have been a delightful addition to my home. Last year, I started experimenting with smart lights, and this year, I wanted to expand my setup. I purchased several strands of Govee’s arch lights, curtains, and permanent lights, and they truly transformed my holiday decor.
Unfortunately, I encountered an unexpected issue this year. One of the arch light strands stopped working entirely, and it wouldn’t connect to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Despite checking the power supply and outlet, everything seemed fine. Coincidentally, the same issue happened to a smaller strand from the same order, which was within the return window. This was quite disappointing, especially since these lights were a major part of my Christmas setup.
Despite the setback, I was impressed with the quality of the other Govee products I own, such as the curtains and permanent lights, which have been working flawlessly since last year. I’m now considering whether to continue using Govee products in the future. I’m currently in Brazil, and I’m unsure if I’ll receive support for this issue, as I’m still waiting for a response from Govee.
In the meantime, I wanted to share how my setup looked before the issue occurred. The lights created a warm and festive atmosphere, and I even recorded a short video of the lighting show, which I posted on YouTube. If you’re interested, you can search for ‘Caza’s Christmas Light Show of 2024 with Govee smart lights - His Love Is Alive’ to see the full display.
Overall, while I’m disappointed with this particular issue, I’m still a fan of Govee’s products and will continue to use them in my holiday decorations. I’m hopeful that with a bit of troubleshooting, I can resolve this problem and enjoy a fully functional setup next year.
