I recently received the elusive Govee Christmas Box, and it’s been a delightful addition to my home. Inspired by the festive spirit, I wanted to create something unique that combines functionality with holiday cheer.I’ve always been a fan of Govee’s ground lights, and this year, I decided to use them to create a custom holiday display. I’ve seen some amazing DIY projects in the community, and I wanted to give it a try. The idea was to use the Govee ground lights to outline a Christmas tree on my lawn, adding a warm and inviting touch to my outdoor decorations.The process was a bit challenging at first, but with some trial and error, it came together beautifully. I used a combination of Govee’s app to control the lighting effects and some basic landscaping tools to position the lights just right. The result? A stunning illuminated Christmas tree that lights up my yard and brings a smile to everyone who passes by.What I love most about this project is how easy it was to integrate with my existing smart home setup. Using Home Assistant, I created an automation that turns the lights on at sunset and cycles through different holiday color schemes.
