As the winter chill sets in, I’ve been exploring ways to enhance my home’s comfort and aesthetics using Govee lights and smart automation. Let me share a little story and some tips that might inspire others!

I recently installed a Govee H6640 neon rope light around my living room, paired with a few motion sensors and an ESP8266 for automation. My goal was to create a cozy, festive atmosphere without constant manual adjustments.
The Challenge:
Initially, I struggled with getting the lights to respond smoothly to motion. After some research, I discovered that adjusting the sensitivity settings on the sensors made a huge difference.
