Hello everyone!
I wanted to share some of my recent experiences with Govee lights and smart home integration. First, I’ve been absolutely blown away by the Govee permanent outdoor lights I recently unboxed. They’re perfect for adding some festive flair to my garden, and the rainbow effects are just stunning!
I’ve been using them to light up my garden, and they’ve really transformed the space. If you’re looking for something to brighten up your outdoor areas, I highly recommend checking them out! Another thing I’ve been exploring is integrating different smart home devices. I’ve been using the Hubitat CoCoHue integration for my Hue lights, and it’s been a game-changer!
It’s open-source, which is a huge plus, and it supports scenes and effects that really take my lighting setup to the next level. If you haven’t checked it out yet, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try! I’ve also been experimenting with using my Raspberry Pi as a smart home dashboard. It’s been a fun DIY project, and I’ve managed to get it working as a touchscreen interface for controlling my Homey setup. While there were a few hiccups along the way, especially with getting the symbolic IP address to work properly, it’s been a great way to centralize my smart home controls. One thing I’m still curious about is how others manage their smart home setups when integrating multiple brands. Do you have any tips or tricks for ensuring smooth communication between devices? I’d love to hear your experiences and learn more about what’s working for you!
Overall, I’m really enjoying the journey of building out my smart home ecosystem, and I’m excited to see what new innovations will come in the future. If you’ve got any cool projects or setups you’d like to share, feel free to drop them in the comments below! Let’s keep the community spirit alive and keep learning from each other! ![]()
