As a new homeowner, I’ve been on a quest to create the perfect smart home setup, and Govee lights have been a game-changer for me. I recently installed the Govee Rock Lights in my living room, and while they were initially confusing (they weren’t battery-powered as I thought!), I figured out a clever workaround by connecting them to an RGB strip. Now, they’re seamlessly integrated into my smart lighting system and look amazing! 
I’ve also been experimenting with smart lighting automation using SmartThings. One challenge I faced was setting up a kitchen lamp to signal when the garage door is open. The automation works well, but there’s an issue when motion is detected while the garage door is still open. The lamp turns off even though the door is still open. I tried adding a condition to check the lamp’s state, but it didn’t solve the problem. Any tips from the community would be greatly appreciated! 
Another thing I’ve been exploring is using smart lighting to create ambiance. I love how easy it is to set up routines with my Govee lights, like dimming them in the evening or syncing colors with my music. It’s little touches like these that make my home feel truly smart.
