Govee Lights for Better Sleep and Smart Automation

As someone who struggles with falling asleep, I’ve found that using my Govee lights in the evening has made a huge difference. I’ve been using the orange and red color settings with low brightness to create a calming environment before bed. It’s amazing how much this simple change has improved my sleep quality!

I also wanted to share a tip for anyone having trouble with their Wyz mesh router. I’ve had the blinking orange light issue before, and what worked for me was doing a factory reset. It’s a bit of a hassle since you have to reconfigure everything, but it fixed the connectivity problems for good. I’d recommend this as a last resort if you’re experiencing similar issues.

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with using the Sun Elevation item to control my outdoor lights. It’s a bit tricky to set up, but once it’s working, it’s so much more efficient than the Day/Night switch. I’ve set mine to turn on when the sun elevation drops below -10 degrees, which gives me enough light without waiting for full darkness.

If anyone has tips for improving sleep with smart lights or advice on setting up automation rules, I’d love to hear them! Let’s keep sharing and learning together to make our smart homes even smarter.
