Govee Motion Sensor Experience and Feature Request

I’ve been using Govee devices for a while now, and I must say, they’ve been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. The motion sensors, in particular, have been quite reliable in detecting movement and adjusting my lighting accordingly. However, there’s one feature I’ve been hoping for that would make these sensors even more versatile.

Earlier this week, I was setting up a motion sensor in my hallway. While the installation process was straightforward, I found myself wishing for a pause button. You see, sometimes I don’t want the sensor to trigger for a set period—like when I’m moving things around or cleaning. It would be amazing to have the ability to pause the sensor for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or even an hour directly from the app. This would add a layer of convenience that I believe many users would appreciate.

In terms of usage, I’ve noticed that the sensor works best when placed at eye level. I’ve also found that adjusting the sensitivity settings in the app helps reduce false triggers, especially in areas with natural light fluctuations. The integration with my other smart devices has been seamless, and I love how the sensor can be programmed to work in conjunction with my smart lights and thermostat.

If Govee could add this pause functionality, it would be a game-changer for users looking for more control over their smart home devices. I’m curious to hear if others have similar requests or if there’s a workaround I haven’t discovered yet. Let me know your thoughts!
