I recently purchased the Govee H7028 outdoor string lights for my backyard, and I must say, they’ve been a delightful addition to my smart home setup. The vibrant colors and smooth transitions create a welcoming ambiance, especially during evening gatherings with friends. However, I encountered an unexpected issue after a recent rainstorm. The lights stopped changing colors and remained white, despite being waterproof as per the specifications. The plug is safely inside my garage, so it shouldn’t have been exposed to water. Interestingly, turning them off via the app didn’t work, and I had to unplug them to reset. After some research, I discovered that moisture can sometimes interfere with the wiring, even if it’s supposedly waterproof. I’m hoping this was a rare occurrence and not a common issue. I’ve reached out to Govee support for further assistance. Despite this hiccup, I’m still impressed with the product’s overall performance and the convenience of controlling them through the app. I’m looking forward to using them for future events and holidays. Fingers crossed for a quick resolution from support!
