Hi everyone! I wanted to share my experience with the Govee Pathway Lights 2 after setting them up recently. 
First off, I was a bit hesitant because I’ve heard mixed reviews, but I have to say, I’m really impressed with how they’ve turned out in my backyard!
What I Love
- Brightness: They’re incredibly bright, which is exactly what I needed for my outdoor pathway. The light coverage is even and consistent, making it feel safe and well-lit at night.
- Customization: The app control is a huge plus. I can adjust the brightness, timing, and even set up scenes for different occasions. It’s so much easier than I expected!
- Durability: Despite being made of plastic, they feel sturdy and well-made. I was worried about them breaking, but after a few weeks of use, they’re still in great shape.
A Few Tips
- Placement: I found that spacing them about 2-3 feet apart works best for even lighting. Too close and they can create glare, too far and there are gaps.
- Battery Life: They come with rechargeable batteries, but I’d recommend keeping them on a regular charging schedule to avoid any unexpected outages.
- App Setup: Make sure to update the app to the latest version. I had a few hiccups initially, but after updating, everything worked smoothly.
My Only Wish
I wish they had an option for a more seamless integration with my existing smart home system. Right now, it’s a bit of a manual process to sync them with my Alexa routines. Hopefully, Govee will work on that in the future!
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase. They’ve transformed my backyard into a cozy, well-lit space, and I love coming home to that warm glow every night. If you’re on the fence about getting these lights, I’d say go for it!
