Govee Products and OpenHAB Integration

Hi everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience with Govee products and how I integrated them into my OpenHAB setup. First, I installed some Govee downlights and RGB lights in my living room. They’ve really transformed the space, and I love how easy it is to control them through the app. The setup process was straightforward, and the integration with OpenHAB worked seamlessly once I configured the MQTT broker properly. I also have a Govee space heater that’s been a lifesaver during the colder months. It’s surprisingly efficient for its size and has a quiet fan mode that’s great for circulation.\I’ve been experimenting with creating automation rules in OpenHAB to control these devices based on outdoor temperature thresholds. My goal is to adjust the thermostat scheduler only when the temperature crosses a specific threshold, rather than updating every time the temperature changes. This has been a bit tricky, but I’ve managed to set up a rule that checks the outdoor temperature every 15 minutes and adjusts the thermostat accordingly. I’d love to hear if anyone else has similar automations or tips for improving this setup.\Another thing I’ve been exploring is battery monitoring for my various devices. I came across the Battery Tender Wireless Battery Monitor, but I’m still unsure if it can integrate with OpenHAB without the phone app. I’d appreciate any insights or alternative recommendations for a low-maintenance battery monitoring solution.\Overall, I’m really impressed with how Govee products have enhanced my smart home experience. Their quick delivery and excellent customer service have made it a pleasure to work with them. I’m looking forward to adding more Govee devices to my setup in the future! Thanks to everyone in the community for their helpful tips and support. Happy holidays! :tada:
