I wanted to share a positive experience I had with my Govee RGB LED strip controller. Initially, I was a bit puzzled because I couldn’t figure out how to change the colors on my LED strip when paired with my SmartThings hub. It was frustrating because I knew the potential was there, but I just couldn’t get it right. 
After some research, I discovered that using the generic Z-Wave device option wasn’t the best approach. Instead, I found that selecting the correct device type in the SmartThings app made all the difference! Here’s what I did:- Checked Device Compatibility: I made sure my LED strip was compatible with the SmartThings hub.- Selected the Right Device Type: Instead of the generic option, I chose the specific RGB LED strip option in the app.- Updated Firmware: Ensured the controller’s firmware was up to date.- Tested Color Settings: Finally, I could adjust the colors and brightness effortlessly!Now, my pool area is lit up with vibrant colors, and it’s such a great addition to my smart home setup!
