I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my new Govee RGBWW Recessed Downlight H601A! 
After some initial hiccups, I’ve managed to get them installed and running smoothly, and I wanted to share my experience and some tips for anyone considering these lights.
First, the installation process was a bit of a learning curve. I decided to go with a custom solution since I didn’t want to cut a larger hole for the 6-inch fixtures. I created a small box to house them, which allowed me to install them without any issues. The lights look stunning in my space, and the color customization is incredible!
One thing I struggled with initially was automating the lights to turn on and off based on door and window sensors. After some trial and error, I found that pairing the lights with Govee’s door sensors through the app worked perfectly. It’s such a neat way to control the lighting without lifting a finger!
I also wanted to mention the importance of checking the condition of the lights upon arrival. My first set had some issues, but Govee made replacing them a breeze. The new set has been flawless, and I couldn’t be happier with the quality and performance.
For anyone looking to set up similar automation, I highly recommend exploring Govee’s app features and compatibility with other smart devices. The possibilities for customizing your lighting setup are endless!
