I recently had the pleasure of installing a Govee 12” Smart Ceiling Light as part of our home remodel, and I wanted to share my experience with the community. While the process was a bit of an adventure, the result has been nothing short of amazing!
The Challenge
I decided to tackle this installation at 2am—a time when most people are fast asleep. Why? Well, let’s just say it was a spur-of-the-moment decision after a long day of remodeling. The Process
Despite the late hour, the installation went smoothly once I found the right stud. The app setup was a breeze, and within minutes, I was controlling the light via my phone. My wife, who kindly served as my lighting assistant, even managed to capture the entire ordeal on shaky video—proof that teamwork makes the dream work!
The Result
This light has completely transformed our space. The color options are vibrant and versatile, and the tunable white feature makes it perfect for any time of day. Plus, the music mode adds a fun touch when entertaining guests.
