As the holiday season approaches, I’ve been diving into creating a festive smart lighting setup using Govee products. It’s been an exciting journey, and I wanted to share my experiences and tips with the community!
My Setup:
I’ve been gradually adding Govee lights to my collection, and this year, I decided to go all out. I’ve installed icicle lights along my roofline and cone tree lights in my garden. The transformation is magical, especially during the evenings!
Challenges and Tips:
One thing I noticed is the brightness settings. Initially, I set them to 50%, but I’m curious how my neighbors would react if I max them out. I’d love to hear your thoughts on balancing festive cheer with neighborhood harmony!
I also discovered a handy trick for scheduling these lights using Home Assistant. By integrating them with my existing smart home setup, I can automate the lights to turn on at sunset and off at midnight. It’s been a great way to add ambiance without constant manual adjustments.
