Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent success with integrating Govee smart plugs and temp/humidity sensors into my smart home setup. Iβve been experimenting with automating my home, and I must say, the results have been fantastic! ![]()
I was curious if there was a way to connect these devices through the Govee app so that the plugs could turn on and off based on temperature and humidity settings. After some research and trial and error, I figured out a way to set it up!
The app now has a feature that allows the devices to communicate, and itβs working like a charm. I added a button near the sensor area that triggers the specific plug I want to control. Itβs so convenient!
I also wanted to mention the Govee H5104 and H5075 models. Theyβre both Bluetooth-enabled thermometers, but I was curious about the differences between them. Turns out, the H5104 is part of the Govee Life series, which might offer additional features or a slightly different design. Iβm using them to monitor the temperature and humidity in my music room, where my cello is stored. The room is next to a boiler room, so it gets pretty cold in the basement. The sensors update quickly, which is exactly what I needed to ensure the room stays at the right conditions for my instrument. ![]()
Iβd love to hear if anyone else has tips or tricks for integrating Govee devices or other brands into their smart home setup. Sharing knowledge always helps us learn and improve! ![]()
Cheers to a smarter, more comfortable home! ![]()
