Hey everyone! I’m super excited to finally share my experience with the Govee String Lights 2. After months of planning and waiting, my shipment arrived, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!
I’ve been using the older H7002 models for over three years, but they were Bluetooth-only, which limited their functionality. Upgrading to the String Lights 2 has completely transformed my setup! I’ve installed about 144ft of these lights, replacing my old 96ft setup. The difference in brightness, color range, and ease of use is incredible!
Installation Tips:
- Location Matters: I mounted mine on the fascia pointing towards the wall to create a beautiful half-circle of light. This setup works perfectly with gradient scenes.
- Concealment is Key: Hiding the wires was a top priority for me. I recommend using cable ties or clips to keep everything neat and professional-looking.
Scene Recommendations:
- Gradient Movements: These scenes look stunning and add a dynamic feel to the space.
- Avoid Static Combo Colors: These can give an unwanted “bunting” effect, which I personally find less appealing.
DIY Setup Tip:
If you’re planning a DIY install, I highly recommend reaching out to professionals like @JB’s DIY Tv. They were instrumental in helping me complete my setup, especially with the roof pop-outs. Their expertise and attention to detail made all the difference!
Community Love:
Seeing the creativity and inspiration from this community is truly amazing. I’ve saved over 150 scenes from different users, and it’s been so fun experimenting with new looks. If you haven’t tried the Autoplay feature yet, I highly recommend it—it’s a game-changer for creating seamless transitions!
Thank you all for your support and for making this journey so enjoyable! Here’s to more creative lighting setups and happy DIY projects!
Cheers,
