A while ago I added a post about converting dumb doorbeel into the smart one
I used this sensor with a few more tricks to create a Halloween automation.
I use Aqara vibration sensor to detect when someone rings a doorbell. I use Google home speaker to play a sound and Aqara door sensor to know when doors are being opened. Ikea tradfri smart bulb to flash the lights in the corridor. All of that under the control of Home Assistant.
PS. Aqara U200 batteries were charging, so it’s not visible on one video
