So, I have just got myself a g410 doorbell and hub. I have been trying to use the rtsp feed to record on my hikvision nvr but with no success

I use a different NVR myself, but if you have enabled RTSP LAN Preview in the settings, the IP address, URI, user name, and password should be displayed.
According to the Hikvision website, you then need to enter the following URL in the software:
RTSP with Authentication
rtsp://[username]:[password]@[IP address of device]:[RTSP port]/Streaming/channels/[channel number][stream number]
So, for example, I would assume that to achieve 960p with the G410, you would need to enter the following:
rtsp://123:987@192.168.178.100:8554/ch2
Does this work for you? Or do you not receive a video image? Or do you receive a specific error message?

I found the problem there is another page of advanced settings where the rtsp port number also needs to be altered to the 8554.

I must be close here but something just isn’t right trying to add a new G400 to Hik via rtsp. any help would be appreciated…
as suggested I have change the network port setting for rtsp from 554 to 8554
I have set a custom profile using this logic with the password included rtsp://123:987@192.168.178.100:8554/ch2
in the pop up box then on the channel I used just the IP address ie. 192.168.178.100 in the setting box for the channel along with the passwords where asked.
just doesn’t want to connect
any ideas?
