I recently purchased the HDMI Sync Box and have been experiencing some issues, which I believe are related to my setup. I’m using a Firestick 4K connected to a 4K Hisense TV in the UK. The main problem I’m facing is with the CEC functionality. When I turn on the TV using the remote, the Firestick doesn’t automatically turn on. I have to manually switch it on using its own remote. Once it’s on, there’s a 50/50 chance that the TV remote will control the Firestick, which is inconvenient, especially when the kids have been watching and the remote could be anywhere. Additionally, after turning on the Firestick, the TV is forced into 1080p resolution. I found some suggestions in the Wiz FAQs about manually turning the box on and off again, which works but defeats the purpose of having an app or remote-controlled product. I think there should be an option within the Wiz app to choose the resolution. Overall, the app functionality is quite poor, with only a few options available besides colors and sync settings. I hope these issues can be resolved soon.
