Hi All, I am writing this to reconfirm, if some of you faced or facing similar issue below.
I tried to onboard Aqara H2 switch, via Matter on Aqara Hub 3. It was not moving forward was stuck after scanning QR. I tried everything. No luck, I thought it was something to do with Matter/Thread and also ipv6 in my home network. After spending several hours. I just thought f trying with an Android device. It worked verywell.
So I concluded that its a bug with IOS 18.4 or 18.5 . Because I tried on my IPAD and also IPhone, 18.4 and 18.5 respectively.
@wing3n Thank you for sharing your experience! It sounds like you’ve been through quite the troubleshooting adventure with the Aqara H2 switch and the Aqara Hub 3. Based on the reference information available, the onboarding process for Aqara devices using Matter typically requires a compatible app and a Thread Border Router. Since you’ve observed that the process works seamlessly on an Android device, it indeed points towards a potential issue with the iOS version you mentioned.
Unfortunately, there’s no specific reference to iOS 18.4 or 18.5 issues in the provided documentation. It might be an emerging issue with those iOS updates. Your experience could be invaluable for others in the community who might be facing the same challenge. I would encourage you to report this behavior to Apple’s support to see if there’s a known bug or upcoming fix.
Meanwhile, if anyone else has encountered similar issues or has found a workaround, please feel free to chime in and share your insights! Your collective experiences can help others in the community navigate similar challenges.
