Hi, I purchased and installed G4 successfully, and all functions are working perfectly.
However, when I connect to Apple HomeKit, there are no notifications — no motion detected or chime bell rings.
I checked the Apple HomeKit settings and found that the motion detection is off and cannot be changed.
Is there anyone who can help me resolve this issue?
As for motion detection, I’ve never got that to work.
As far as chimes are concerned check your HomePods to see if that is on. You go into settings on the HomePod and scroll down.
If you use Matter integration to integrate Aqara and Apple Home, then you can configure custom “signal”.
A signal is a trigger from Aqara home (the things in WHEN in automation) that is exposed as a sensor in Matter.
You can create a custom signal to create a custom sensor that will actually work.
You can find this feature in Profile > Connect to Ecosystems > Matter > Scene and Signal Sync > Signal Management. But you need a Matter enabled hub like M3, G5 or G350
