Done!! Hope it helps to develop a better water leak sensor, providing a better connectivity and stabiility.
Most of the actual sensors suffer fron disconnections.
We have Aqara leak sensors in several locations of our homeā¦except in the downstairs bathroom which is the only room weāve actually had a leak in. Why? Because Lois, our Corgi, treats water leak sensors as chew toys and we have t been able to break that habit. Itās the only one she can get to and the only one that weāve actually needed lol
Besides using the leak detector in the basement, I use it for garden watering automations and (not so successfully) for rain detection with the native Aqara app, using a raindrops module as a probe extension.
I am not sure if itās a hardware limitation of the current Leak Sensor, but besides the current options of āLeak Detectedā and āWater Recedesā, it would be nice to see the addition of:
āIn Leak(water) Detected Stateā
āRemains in Water Detected state beyond a defined timeā
āRemains with no Water Detection state beyond a defined timeā
(Also to have those options available inside the āANDā section.)
In addition, it would be great to have a āDurationā option in the 3 dots pop-up menu.
On the Aqara UI, it would also be nice to have more flexibility with custom naming of the card ā not just āLeak Detectedā, because depending on the use case it could be āTank is Fullā, āDryā, āEmptyā, āRainingā.
