Home Assistant Core Setup and Configuration Challenges

I recently transitioned from a Raspberry Pi setup to Ubuntu 21.10 server for running Home Assistant Core, aiming for a more stable environment. While the installation went smoothly, I’ve encountered a couple of issues that I’m hoping the community can help me resolve.

Firstly, I noticed that the ‘Add-ons & Backups’ section is missing from my configuration menu, leaving only ‘Backups’. I’ve tried searching the forums and adjusting the configuration.yaml file, but I’m still unclear on the exact settings needed to restore this functionality. Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated!

Another challenge I’m facing involves my TPLink switches. I’ve been receiving frequent ‘Communication error’ warnings in my logs, which seems to be affecting the reliability of my smart home setup. I’ve included some of the error logs below for reference. Has anyone else experienced similar issues, and if so, how did you resolve them?

Lastly, I’m working on setting up a scene for my stairs, incorporating both lights and input datetimes for scheduling. However, I’m struggling with how to structure the entities card so that the lower section remains hidden until the card is clicked. Additionally, I want the main toggle switch to only affect the lights and not the input datetimes. I’m not sure if this is achievable, but I’m hopeful someone can provide some insights or workarounds.

I’m really enjoying the flexibility and customization that Home Assistant offers, but these hurdles are slowing down my progress. Any advice or suggestions would be invaluable! Thanks in advance for your help.
