Home Security Automation with Wyze Cam + Sense Pack

Hey everyone! I’ve been experimenting with the Wyze Cam + Sense pack for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with how it’s transforming my home security setup. It’s like having a mini surveillance system right in my living room!

One thing I’ve been curious about is the raw sensor data. I’m a bit of a numbers geek, and I’d love to dive into the statistics—like tracking when doors are most likely to be open or analyzing how long the front door stays open on average. I wonder if there’s a way to export this data into a CSV file for some deeper analysis. Any tips from the community would be awesome!

I also wanted to share a cool project I’m working on. I’ve set up contact sensors on my garbage cans to detect if someone’s been dumping trash without permission. It’s a quirky use case, but it’s been surprisingly effective! I even figured out a better way to attach the sensors by using a bar magnet instead of tape—it looks much cleaner now. Check out the pictures in my post if you’re curious!

Another thing I’ve been thinking about is integrating all these devices into a seamless system. I’ve heard great things about Global Cache for controlling IR devices, but I’m not quite sure how to set it up with my existing ISY and Alexa setup. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear your advice!

Overall, I’m really enjoying how customizable and versatile the Wyze Cam + Sense pack is. It’s giving me peace of mind knowing my home is secure, and it’s also a fun way to explore some techy DIY projects. If you’re on the fence about getting one, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and tips!
